Dermapen is a new, revolutionary skin needling treatment that unlike traditional skin needling rollers, causes less trauma, therefore reducing pain and discomfort with minimal down time. Dermapen® at Skinfresh Clinic

Skin needling was first considered as an aesthetic treatment many years ago when doctors noticed that those that had had tattoos had improvement in scars and generally through the skin that had been tattoed over. This led to the invention of medical dermal needling as a treatment to improve collagen, skin thickness and elasticity. The problem with it was that is was so painful that many patients had to have it done under general anaesthetic.

Today, medical dermal rollering is still performed in clinics with sedation, gas and local anaesthetics, but it still carries a certain amount of discomfort and several days of downtime where you just can't go out.

Medical rollering is not to be confused with gentle face and body rollering that people can do at home – these effects will be less dramatic however. Dermapen® is a new, revolutionary skin needling treatment that works better than Microdermabrasion, and virtually as well as the traditional medical rollering, but without any significant pain and minimal down time. It helps pores, fine lines, increases collagen, reduces scars and may also tighten the skin.

You can just have three or more Dermapen® treatments initially then perhaps one per year for maintenance, depending on your goals.
